The purpose of Seal-It Premium string repairs is to repair nail hole injuries up to 6mm in the tread area of bias and radial passenger, tractor, ATV, light truck, lawn tractor and OTR tyres on-site, before the tyre goes flat and before dirt, water and other potentially contaminating substances are allowed to penetrate through the injury. 6mm Thick Black Strings. It’s vitally important to note that Seal-It repairs are only temporary and that country-specific tyre repair regulations and standards must be adhered to. Published industry regulations and tyre manufacturers state that all injuries must be filled with a rubber stem and that a tyre repair unit must be applied on the inner liner of the tyre. Failure to follow these regulations may result in premature tyre failure. When a temporary repair is made to a tyre it must be operated at speeds no greater than 80kmph for no longer than 100kms. The tyre must then be demounted, inspected and, if repair is possible, country/industry specific recommendations for proper repair must be followed.
